Since 1974, the Dr. Lillian R. Goodman Department of Nursing at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ has been educating students and professional nurses to improve the health of individuals, families, and communities around the world.
As a student at Worcester State, you will learn evidence-based practices that will engage your critical analysis skills and enhance your caretaking abilities. For traditional undergraduate students, this track includes clinical practice at a wide variety of health-care organizations. When you graduate from this track, you’re eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

On-Campus Study Option
This option is designed for licensed registered nurses who have graduated from a diploma or associate degree program. Contact RN-BSN coordinator for more information on the WSU day program. For application process and deadlines please visit the Transfer Students page.

This track is designed for licensed practical nurses who’ve graduated from an accredited practical nurse program. When you graduate from this track, you’re eligible to take the NCLEX-RN.

If you are looking to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree, we offer a convenient, high-quality graduate program taught by world-class faculty from diverse disciplines. This engaging, affordable program features convenient and flexible scheduling, blended learning (face-to-face classes and online study), and 3 routes of entry.
We offer 2 specialty tracks within this program— Public & Population Health Nursing and Nursing Education.
Note: When you graduate from the Nurse Educator specialty track, you are eligible to sit for the National League of Nursing Certified Nurse Educator examination.
If you already have a master’s degree, a doctoral degree, or are matriculated in a doctoral program in nursing and are want to gain in-demand population health skills, we offer a Post-Master’s Certificate in Public & Population Health Nursing.
If you already have a master’s degree, a doctoral degree, or are matriculated in a doctoral program in nursing and are interested in becoming a nurse educator, we offer a Post-Master’s Certificate in Nursing Education.
